2010 Fly Fishing Course

The Southland Fly Fishing Club, held its annual (2 day) Fly Fishing course on 13/14th Feb, again booked out months in advance.

This years course was again very successful, weather played its part, being fine, sunny and warm on Sunday morning.

Day 1:
From 9am - 2pm, was spent in the classroom covering all aspects of fly fishing, then the afternoon was spent on the park practising casting.

Day 2:
Was on the river, and the morning started off fine, with prospects for the day looking good for the coaching session.

The weather turned in the afternoon and became windy.  This did not dampen the spirits of the class, and although only a couple of fish were caught in the afternoon, everyone seemed to be very happy with the whole weekend.
